This past weekend my sister in law had a beautiful baby girl. She was born on a crisp morning with a head full of dark hair. While they were in the hospital, Goodman and I got to watch Denver, their older son, for the weekend. Soon they will be coming home with a brand new baby, and to a 17 month old little boy. I remember after having Faye, the nicest thing that people could do for us was bring us a meal. During that transition, and getting used to having a new baby, the last thing mom wants to do is think about what the family will be eating for dinner. My favorite meals to receive during that time were the healthy, but simple meals. Especially after eating in the hospital for two days, I really appreciated the fresh and light meals.
Here are a few of my favorite meals to take to people when they have had a baby, are sick, or just need a little help one night. I tend to stick to meals that are easily reheated so that it will be good for them even if I prepare it ahead of time.
