This was one of the best weekends we’ve had in a long time. We had absolutely nothing planned, and spent time investing in one another all weekend. We went to the lake, worked on projects, slept, and made good food and drinks.
One of my favorite drinks is a Moscow Mule. Every since I got one last December, served in that gorgeous copper mug, I’ve been hooked. They are especially great for a summer drink. Super light and refreshing.
For Christmas, Goodman got me a set of copper mugs, and I’m ashamed to say it, but this weekend was the first time we have used them. However, we made mules, and they were incredible. So easy, and so good. Perfect way to break them in.
While we sipped on our drinks on the back porch, Faye sipped on her lime juice haha. It was the perfect ending to the weekend.
1.5 ounces Vodka
.5 ounces Lime juice
1/2 cup Ginger beer
Lime for garnish
Tonic water (lime)
- Combine the vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer in a copper mug with ice.
- Throw a lime wedge on the side or in it to make it pretty
- I added a splash of lime tonic water to cut the spiciness of the ginger beer (Goodman added more beer 😉 ) Sometimes you just need to adjust it to personal preferences.
- Badaboom. It’s as easy as that. Now go sit on the porch and enjoy your drink!
What are some of your favorite drink recipes? Now that we’ve tried this, I’m ready to try more!
