Our New Home Inspiration

I want to bring you guys a little bit of home inspiration on this Monday, because we are so excited to share that we are moving! We are still going to be in Atlanta, but we are going to be in a completely different area. Really, it is going to feel like a different city. It is going to put us so much closer to so many of the things we do, we will be able to walk to restaurants, and it is going to bring us closer to a lot of our friends.

I love change, and I love anything new. So needless to say, I am really excited about this. Excited about the chance for something different, the chance to purge our belongings and simplify, and the chance to redecorate!

I am typically the kind of person that rushes to put everything together. Last time we moved, we were completely unpacked the same day. Yes, you read that right. We moved on Saturday morning, and with the help of many people who love us so well, we were completely unpacked with pictures on the wall come Saturday night. I hate when things are undone, and I don’t feel “at home” until every thing is complete.

With that being said, I typically make quick decisions and then later wish I hadn’t put a nail in the wall. So, I have vowed to myself this time that I am going to take my time with decorating. I am going to explore options, and really make sure I love everything I move into this house. If I don’t love it, I don’t want to move it. I’m sure Goodwill will be overflowing by the time we are done.

We went window shopping for inspiration last night, and the baby fell apart. Like 100% fell apart and we went straight home. So instead, I spent the evening online shopping, and drooling over some pieces that are inspiring my design. Some of them would be too much of a stretch, but a girl can dream 😉

My biggest problem is I feel like I like a little bit of everything. Show me some rustic, some mid-century modern, some classic, and a little bit of bohemian. I like it all in my home, so it will be interesting to see how I pull it all together. If I pull it all together.

Here are some of my favorites:

Peggy Mid-Century Chaise Sectional : West Elm

Coronado Outdoor Collection: Restoration Hardware

Glass Globe Wall Sconce: World Market

Mid-Century Media Stand: World Market

Leather Finn Rocker : Anthropologie

Tufted Loveseat: World Market

Marble Shelving: World Market

Vintage Turkish Area Rug : World Market

What would you say is your style? Where is your favorite place to get inspired?

My husband and I love adding little bits of flair from a Turkish or Persian style, but we definitely gravitate overall to a cleaner, more modern style for the overall look!

Amy, yes I love that! We have a moroccan style coffee table that I absolutely adore, but am having the hardest time finding a media stand to match it. I’m thinking a clean and classic piece would compliment it pretty well.
