I don’t know about you guys, but there are just some days that I can’t quite get it together. It doesn’t really matter how much or how little I have going on, but no matter what I do, I just can’t seem to get my feet underneath me. This is especially common on Mondays. Here are a few simple and very practical things that I do when I am feeling totally unmotivated and down.
Happy Friday, folks. This week has had it out to get me. Between school stuff, work, family, sickness, we’ve been ready to throw in the towel a couple times already. Even this morning, when I went to post this, I had it all saved and pretty last night, and then this morning when it posted, it only posted half. It didn’t save the rest, so here I am redoing it. I am determined not to let the week beat us though, so here I sit typing away showing this week who is boss. Anyway, we made it to Friday and all survived. Cheers to the freaking weekend has never sounded so good.
Shiloh has recently fallen in love with reading. It’s something that I always hoped for my child, but definitely haven’t pushed. I’ll be honest, we haven’t been very good at consistently reading to her, but thankfully she has started picking it up on her own. She is always asking for “buk”, and points to the room with her bookshelf. We sit on the couch in the morning and read book after book after book. Typically the same books over and over again.
Happy Monday friends! Hope you all had a good weekend, and are feeling refreshed to start a new week. Mondays always hit me one of two ways. Either I am super pumped about the week and motivated to make it good and productive, or I am sluggish, can’t seem to find my footing, and am ready to crawl back in bed. Since last Monday was more of the second scenario, this Monday I am insistent on making it a good one.
This week has been completely full of car shopping. It sounds way more fun than it is. Goodman got rear-ended the other week and totaled his car. Thankfully he is completely fine, but his car isn’t. So we have been car shopping all over the city with a little baby, and it hasn’t been easy. But, yesterday we found one! Hallelujah. Now I’m never going to buy a car again. You can bury me with this car.
Today I’m throwing it back to a few weeks ago when we were in Lake Tahoe with my sister and brother in law. It was one of the most incredible and relaxing trips ever. It was a time of rest, and reflection. I wrote a post about the rest of the trip here.
